  • After many years of working and ready to retire I started looking for a happy, serene and leisurely way of life.  I began my research for somewhere to live several years before I intended to start the rest of my life, I visited many villages both in NSW and Qld, looking for the lifestyle for me.  I needed to look financially as well as value and contentment,  I came back several times to Lakeside Leisure Village, and found the staff most professional and understanding and their service in responding to the needs and requests I asked for exemplary, in some instances I was not quite sure of how to organise my house and at all times this was no trouble for any of the staff when asked to help me.  The facilities here are excellent and are kept up to a very high standard.  I can recommend this village lifestyle to anyone looking for this type of living especially if you are looking to meet new and like minded people.  I can only end by saying welcome to the next and best part of your life.–Beverly

  • As a single female looking for retirement options, I spent many months looking and decided upon this village. Why? The semi-bush and water environment around the village offered me plenty of recreational options. The closeness to essential services like hospitals, doctors and specialists. Easy access to motorway for travelling coupled with the many social attractions in the local area. In the 7 years I have lived here I have made many new friends, attended lots of social activities within the village like BBQ’s,Trivia, concerts put on by residents and used the large outdoor pool and the village bus that takes residents shopping each week. I find my village to be a warm and relaxing place to live and I would love to recommend my village to others.–Valda

  • Dear Management. Today I visited your Village looking for a place to retire very soon. Your Village must be the most charming beautiful place I have seen so far, and I will not look any further, because I will end up at your place as soon as I can sell my place in Sydney. It has everything  I treasure, and will be so happy living there. The lake, as well  trees , trees, tress... To have a Paper bark tree growing through your Reception, says it all. I loved it all. I was dreaming about all the way home to Sydney To top it all I spoke to  a very friendly young Lady Leanna, who went out of her way  to show me around and answered every question. She could not be more helpful...and really spend a lot of time with me. I will be in touch with you again Thanks for everything, and thank the young lady, she is a real asset to you. –Marion

  • Retirement to us meant the opportunity to travel for unlimited time in our caravan.  However not wishing to be nomads, we needed a base to which we could return after months on the road and to live comfortably once the travel bug ceased to bite. On return from our first long trip and faced with the neglect of our property over the severe winter in the Snowy Mountains we decided our living style had to change. "Not more than a day's journey from our children" was the criteria, which led us to the Central Coast.  After vetting every retirement option available in this area we settled on Lakeside Leisure Village. Why? - a warmer climate, a smaller home of excellent design and standard, amongst gum trees in a semi rural setting - important when moving from the country, room for a small self maintaining native garden, proximity to good shopping and medical facilities, and the amazing variety of facilities available at the Village meant we would never be bored.  Above all, the secure environment of our home was a huge plus giving us trouble free travelling (for eight years now) while exploring exotic places around Australia.  We have wonderful neighbours who in  our absence collect our mail (even post it on to us) and keep an eye on our house. When we arrive home there is very little maintenance and we have the security of the Village compound in which to store our van until next time! Very Happy Campers!!
